SAVE EVANSTON DOG BEACHYOUR INFORMATION. YOUR CHOICE.

Privacy & unsubscribe

Updated October 17, 2026. Save Evanston Dog Beach is an independent community advocacy campaign, not a City of Evanston program.

What you share

The signup form collects your name and email, optional ZIP code and dog's name, your selected participation interests, and the date and version of your email consent. Participation may reveal your views about a local public issue. Signing up is voluntary.

How your information is used

The campaign organizer uses your information for dog-beach updates, public meetings, peaceful protests, and volunteer coordination, according to your consent. Authorized organizers can view and export the supporter list. When the Google Sheet connection is enabled, registrations and subscription changes are sent securely to a private Google Sheet managed by the campaign organizer. Individual contact information and preferences are not published on this website. Your information is not sold.

The website signup and peaceful-action counters display active registrations and explicit participation opt-ins. A separate figure of 1,678 supporters is reported by campaign organizers; it is not an independently verified count or a combined, deduplicated total with website signups. 450 is a website signup goal, not a completed signup total. The campaign's protest-and-vote statement does not mean every supporter has pledged to attend an event or vote a particular way. A signup is not a verified identity or a formal petition signature.

Email consent

The form asks you to agree to: “I agree to receive Save Evanston Dog Beach campaign emails about beach updates, public meetings, peaceful protests, and volunteer opportunities. I can unsubscribe at any time.”

This website saves signups. It does not send an automatic confirmation email. Campaign emails are sent separately by the organizer, who must include your unsubscribe link.

Leave the list or request deletion

A new signup receives a private unsubscribe link on the confirmation screen. Save it to unsubscribe immediately. Campaign emails should include the same link. Unsubscribing removes you from the active list and the public counters. It does not erase your stored registration.

For deletion, correction, or help leaving the list, contact the organizer at therisefitness@gmail.com from the email address you used to sign up.

Site operation

The site uses hosting and database services to store registrations. It does not add advertising pixels or third-party marketing cookies. Hosting sign-in may use necessary authentication cookies. For signup abuse prevention, the server may temporarily store a rotating hash derived from an IP address, rather than the plain IP address. These temporary entries expire after 24 hours and are cleaned up during later signup requests. Hosting infrastructure may separately process technical request logs.

Contact records are retained while needed for the campaign or until a deletion request is fulfilled. Please do not submit private information about other people.

Images and examples

Accessibility images were supplied by the campaign organizer. They illustrate approaches to beach access. They are not verified designs, bids, or cost estimates for Evanston. The original Evanston Dog Beach photographs were identified by the campaign organizer as photographs of the beach. The current hero image is an AI-edited version of a supplied beach photograph with additional dogs added.
